Two Trusts, One Shared Commitment to School Districts

The histories of FSBIT and FLEHT are intertwined and their willingness and privilege to continue this collaborative effort works to the advantage of school districts.
 
Formerly known as the Florida School Health Insurance Program (FSHIP), FLEHT governance shifted from the FSBIT Trustees to the FLEHT Board of Trustees under the leadership of the Florida Association of District School Superintendents.
 
FSBIT is proud to support FLEHT by managing all the accounting functions for the health trust. Our shared commitment to transparency, accountability, collaboration and sustainability make this partnership a success.

FSBIT is responsible for:

  • Onboarding, maintenance, and management of accounts associated with FLEHT
  • Tracking member enrollment
  • Preparing and paying invoices for carriers, partners, and TPAs
  • Transferring collected funds into member investment accounts
  • Creating financial reports for each member, including balance sheets, general ledgers, and income statements by month and plan year
